Doubling Addition Facts

A fun, unique, teacher-made game!

Kids will enjoy working on single digit addition problems and finding the answer with fun pictures!

Each game will 12 single digit addition sentence strips.

Also included is a small, laminated, envelope to store the 12 small number pieces that will each have a word on it, either a noun, verb, or adjective. The envelope has a small piece of Velcro for convenient closure and storage.

The addition strips as well as the small number cards will be stored in a 10.5’’ x 5.5’’ plastic envelope for lasting durability. The large envelope will vary in color and may not match the color in the picture. However, all large storage envelopes will have a Velcro or string closure.

The outside of the plastic storage envelope will have kid-friendly directions with picture icons to help with understanding.

The addition strips and small number cards are printed on heavy-duty cardstock with colored ink AND laminated! The cardstock may vary in color, but will always be heavy-duty and laminated!

Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 – 4 = 13 – 3 – 1 = 10 – 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 – 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).

FOR CLASSROOMS:
All games are great for use as independent work centers, working with a parent-helper, working with a paraprofessional, or working in peer pairs. Each game is designed for both general and special education!

FOR HOME USE:
All games are great for in-home use as well! They are great for use during spring break, summer break, holiday breaks, and as additional help or as homework!


Kids will enjoy working on counting, addition, and number identification with the fun pictures!
