Dough Mats- Adding and Subtracting to 10
What is a dough mat station?
A dough mat station is an activity where students will use dough and a work mat to represent various math skills.Dough mats are perfect for any group of students who would benefit from hands-on exploration!
This set of dough mats focus on representing addition and subtraction within 10 in a variety of ways: modeling, ten frames, number line, and rekenrek. All mats and matching cards are ink friendly, printing in black and white!
Low teacher prep-- print, cut out addition and subtraction cards, grab some dough, and GO! Print on heavy paper and laminate if durability is desired.
Need student accountability? A student record sheet is included!
How to use:
Students draw one of the addition or subtraction cards and represent the equation using one of the four different dough mats. Use the student record sheet to record the completed equations. This works well as an individual, partner, or small group activity!
Many other dough mat stations are available- check them out!
