This is a FUN way to incorporate creative writing and rhyming into your classroom! After reading and singing Down By The Bay, students can create their own page in your classroom book.
I gave 3 options for different levels of students or for teacher's needs. One with animal name and picture, one with just animal name, and one blank one.
This packet includes 6 different animals which they can create a rhyme for: cat, dog, bear, pig, bug, cow.
Each animal has 2 different page options, one with the animal and one without the animal. I like to have my students add to the animal picture to create their own unique illustrations, but there is also an option with no animal if they would like to draw their own. In addition, there is an extra page with no animal name if you would like your students to come up with their own anima/rhyme.
This book is used a lot during Watermelon week! :)
