Teach your students the "Down Down Yellow and Brown" poem, and have them identify rhythms created by the syllables of leaf colors put together in a chain. Write the rhythms of color patterns underneath their corresponding pictures. Then, chant the poem as an A section, chant one line of leave colors as a B section, chant the poem again, chant the next line of leaves as C, etc. Instruments can be added for each color of leaf or to perform each differing line of the rondo.
