Use this worksheet in your kindergarten classroom (or music classroom) to help students create their own rhyming verse for the Raffi song "Down By the Bay"!!!
I used this worksheet with my kindergartners after singing the song together, reading the Raffi picture book, identifying "short" and "long" sounds in the song, and brainstorming other silly rhyming verses for "Down By the Bay."
Each student colored a picture of their "own" verse, and I walked around the room writing the description in the blank - for example, "teacher jumping in the bleachers"! Some students were ready to start writing all by themselves!
