Chapter 8 of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson is rewritten as a reader's theater version that allows students to take an active part in reading the novella. There are several parts, allowing for small group reading or for whole class readings, depending on the needs of the classroom. This chapter includes several "notes" from Dr. Jekyll that are visually separated from the text to help students understand the organization of the information.
I created this passage as an adaptation for my low readers, but since this passage is exceptionally confusing, I have began using it for the entire class.
