Once download, you can edit to fit your MLK/Main Idea needs.
This tool can be used to teach students how to identify the main idea in a scrambled paragraph about Martin Luther King Jr. The students will read each of the sentences below the dotted line. They will cut out the sentences. The main idea sentence will be pasted on the M line. The details will be pasted on the D lines.
In addition to main idea, have students become more familiar with the illustration/photo visual text feature and caption text feature by adding their own illustration to convey the main idea and complete the illustration with their own caption.
