File includes a pdf with six 11x17 posters featuring quotes from Dr. Seuss works.
I have a Dr. Seuss theme going in my classroom this year, and I couldn't find any figurative language posters that fit my need. I teach 7th and 8th grade, so my focus is on the more basic figurative language terms. I hang the posters up on my cupboards so they are up during the year to serve as reminders when we work with them.
The figurative language featured in the posters: Alliteration, Hyperbole, Metaphor, Onomatopoeia, Personification, and Simile.
The posters include the following works: Fox in Socks, And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?, The Sneetches, and Horton Hears a Who.
If there are any other types of figurative language you would like to see, feel free to leave a comment and I can see what I can do!
