Want to continue your Dr Seuss classroom theme with your class' home reading log? So did I! When I couldn't find what I wanted, I created this cute little reading log.
This resource contains log pages both with and without the reading level so that you can choose whether you would like to include reading levels or not (or maybe you don't use levels at all). There are two of each log style so that you can print them two per page so that they can be shrunk down to A5 for use in smaller exercise books as well. There is also two front cover pages and a two page explanation about home reading for families. I find this very helpful as sometimes families can be nervous about home reading because they are not quite sure what they can do at home to help as they are not teachers (I know I have had this quite a few times).
You can pick and choose which pages you would like to use and how you would like to use them. If you would like to shrink them down but aren't sure how to do this, I have included some instructions of how to do this when you print - it is shown in Word, but it shows you where to look (all PDF readers are different depending on the one you use - it will generally have "Pages Per Sheet").
I use this in a small exercise book, but you could use any size or even print your own books by binding the pages together.
