This product meets Common Core standard: students can identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies. During this activity, students place two numbered cupcakes on one of the mats. They count and place the correct number of candles on each cupcake. Then they compare one group of candles to the other group of candles as greater than, less than, or equal to.
