Product Description
Math class wants to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America Week too!!

With this product students will use 4th grade math strategies to solve a Dr. Seuss like riddle and create a product to display on the classroom door or bulletin. It covers all 8 of the mathematical practices and multiple 4th grade Common Core Standards It also extends students thinking by comparing the customary system and the metric system.

Follow the steps and/or question guide to bring some Dr. Seuss fun in to the math classroom!

***In my classroom we decorated my door for Read Across America Week to look like a colorful Seuss-y street with a picture of The Foot Book cover character and a word bubble with the riddle inside. Students work on this project during math station time. This could also be done as a take home project or whole group activity.

For more information on my math stations check out my blog http://ahhteaching.blogspot.com/2014/10/engage-ny-and-small-groups.html
