The close reading passage is offered in 4 versions:
Version 1: The text is short. The students will read the text,answer text-related questions, and color the evidence in the text.
Version 2 uses the same short text, but the students will answer the questions without coloring the evidence in the text.
Version 3: The text is longer. The students will read the text, answer text-related questions, and color the evidence in the text.
Version 4 uses the same longer text but the students just answer questions without coloring the evidence in the text.

This product also includes TAGS that the students can wear during Read Across America Day. They are offered in a colorful version and in a black and white version. To use them, just print, laminate, then cut the tags. Punch a hole at the top and attach to a necklace. Students will love to wear these during Read Across America Day!
