Use this incredibly creative cross curricular response after reading Dr. Seuss's "Cat in the Hat." Students are tasked with creating a new invention that can be used to solve a problem. They will begin the response by completing a graphic organizer that will support their ideas and writing throughout the process. Next students will come up with a list of materials they will need to use to develop their creation. Finally students will write about and illustration their catchy idea. This is great to use after a Seuss author study, Read Across America Week, or any time you like!
