Product Description
If your school district requires that you send home a draft of a student's IEP before the actual meeting, you might like to prepare the parent for what they will be getting. An IEP can be an intimidating document, so I created a letter that I send home with draft IEPs, which directs the parents to the most important parts of the IEP and makes it much less intimidating to read. This letter is editable, and something that many parents have described as "very helpful" or "useful" and I have had parents tell me that they keep the letter to use for IEPs their children will have in the future! It includes an explanation of the major parts of an IEP, including the student's new measurable annual goals, PLAAFPs, the supplementary aids/services and the special education and related services to be provided. Again, the document is editable, so feel free to add or take out anything. Enjoy! :)
