Students are given a short quote from the text with an underlined word. In the first column, they must use the context clues and write what they infer the word to mean. In the second column, students look up the actual definition. At the bottom of the page, students pick one vocabulary word and create a new sentence with it.
Examples of vocabulary featured are: "cowards, fury, gloomily, slain, lunged, meekly, heave", etc.

for students to practice their summarization skills in a creative, artistic way!
