This Dragonwings Test covers the entire book, Ch. 1-12, and is mostly concerned with reading comprehension. There are 50 questions, consisting of multiple-choice and true/false. Students taking this test should be familiar with literary element terminology (e.g. conflict, climax, resolution, setting, theme, etc.). Students must be able to identify basic figures of speech (e.g. metaphor, simile, personification), and there are some vocabulary questions as well. The words for the vocabulary questions are on the Dragonwings Vocabualry List, but the questions utilize context clues. Most of my advanced 6th grade students found this test moderately difficult.
