I developed this lesson in response to a class inquiry into
‘how we use water.’
I focused on how people move water around. Specifically in pipes and into drains.
It could be taken in several directions, depending on the study focus. e.g. conservation, waste water systems.
This is a very enjoyable lesson with striking results. I have taken this with children as young as 7 and as old as 10. Each time the children are totally absorbed.
I have included variations on the basic lesson to cater for able artists.
