This is a really fun game that we play for our SPONTANEOUS portion of improv...it's quick, doesn't require a lot of set-up (just one desk/table) and students will beg you to play it again and again.
This Powerpoint goes through each step of the game to make it easier for you and your students to understand.
It also gives tips at the end about improv, and things like "support each other", leaders and followers, staying in character etc.
This is a really purposeful game because it focuses on:
-entering and exiting with a purpose
-it also goes AGAINST the rule of improv "acceptance - always say YES" and challenges them in a neat way...great lessons and discussions come out of this!
You could easily mark this as part of an evaluation/assessment - or just use it for fun.
It's a great game!!
NOTE - it asks for twelve student improvers to play at a time which is great because the rest of the students get to watch and observe - which is so helpful.
Then you just switch it up for the next round.
ALSO - you the ideas for this game are endless - sometimes I make it about something other than a cheese factory - the pharmacy, the dollar store, the pizza place ETC.
It's so flexible and easy.
Also in my shop! More stuff for your IMPROV unit (my #1 favourite unit)
