This worksheet goes along with Youtube videos that students can fill out to focus on both old school and contemporary Mime artists.
[since YouTube links often "break", this just has what you have to put into the search bar "Marcel Marceau SKETCH", for example...they're all on there!]
-Hampton Williams - contemporary example of mime + dance from "So You Think You Can Dance"
(Really gets students talking! They either love or hate this last example)
This handout can be given as an in-class assignment where you watch the clips together, OR can also be assigned as homework.
There's "research" questions about the art of mime/pantomime at the end...but students can use their phones for this if you didn't want to assign as homework.
Mr. Bean isn't included because I do a whole lesson on him, with a separate handout that's in my shop.
NOTE - as a hook I often show them "Tape Face" from America's Got Talent. He is a really cool contemporary artist too!
