This is usually what I give at midterm or during the last two weeks of class.
It's a mini reflection that's provided as a make-up assignment for students.
Usually there's that one project, one assignment, that they mess up for whatever reason - and this mark doesn't reflect their capability.
This is used as a way for them to "fix" that mistake.
It involves a reflection about the class so far, as well as a letter where they write "ADVICE TO A GRADE 9 STUDENT".
I actually read these to the niners on their first day :) It's pretty neat. The kids are usually brutally honest about how to do well in my drama class.
