This is a Bingo type game to asses if students know the definitions to terms used in a drama/play. Before beginning my drama unit, students take notes in their Reading journal/notebook for 8 main drama terms and their meanings. (drama/play, scene, narrator/story teller, stage directions, cast of characters, prop) Several times throughtout the unit we play this game to practice the meaning of drama terms.
DIRECTIONS: Students fold a piece of paper into 8 squares and put one term per square. I usually create a class example along with the class so we all have our terms in the same squares. Each student needs 2 place markers. (ie: paper clip, penny, math counter, etc.) As I go through PowerPoint with the definitions of the terms, students place their place marker in the correct term square(s). Because all squares are in the same, I can QUICKLY glance at each student's gameboard to check for accuracy.
