This project is ALWAYS a hit so we do it every year in drama.
It's their mini project for the VOICE unit of study.
First we study the Elements of Voice, and they apply these for this project.
It's a two-day project (sometimes it takes three) where they write a script based around a telephone conversation between two people.
They pick a scenario out of a hat (these are included) and they have one day to write a script, which will be performed either individually or in partners.
Example "You're talking to the police, trying to convince them of your innocence with that incident"
I also give them the option to present in front of the curtains, or behind (seen or hidden) - either way it doesn't matter because they're marked on their use of voice.
NOTE - Some of the prompts included may have to be edited out if you're working with a younger group.
