This is a really key handout to show students the importance of VOCAL EMPHASIS, and how they can completely change the meaning of a line in a script just by the way they SAY it.
This is key for their understanding of any script work.
They start with strict memorization - and then move into motivations and the meaning behind what their characters are saying.
It involves a workshop around saying 1 line 7 different ways - depending on what word you emphasize.
Students always find this VERY enlightening - and it makes them really pay attention to HOW they're saying a line (not just WHAT they're saying)
