Art from ancient Egypt has a specific canon, which is easy to draw with clear directions. This PowerPoint presentation shows students how to draw an ancient Egyptian woman with step-by-step easy to follow directions.
This Egyptian art tutorial can be used as a teaching tool to practice drawing for a larger assignment, or it can be used on its own. Variations can be made to draw a pharaoh or Egyptian Goddess by changing the headdress.
No preparation is necessary. Since the entire picture is illustrated one step at a time, this art project can be taught by non-art teachers or left with an art substitute teacher. This drawing activity could be used as part of a larger ancient history unit.
This download is also part of a larger assignment. Don’t download this product if you would rather get the entire unit, which includes how to draw an ancient Egyptian man and how to make fake papyrus. Click here to see Draw Like an Egyptian Ancient Egyptian Project
