Common Core Standards K.G.5 and K.G.1
Great for beginning shape drawing or with your Dr. Seuss theme unit. This file contains twelve pages of guided shape drawing practice for circle, square, triangle, rectangle, diamond and oval. There are "go spots" for training your learners where to start and direction arrows to get them going i the right direction. Some shapes also inlcue tint dots in the beginning to help with changing directions.
There is a direction at the bottom of each individual shape page which says "Draw something that is a (square). Tell about your picture." Great for K.G.1 (Describe shapes in the environment using names of shapes..."
Put these sheets together to make a shape drawing workbook for each child (or for those who need home practice), use them with your shape drawing lessons, as daily practice sheets or homework. I like to put them in dry erase packets or sheet protectors and supply dry erase markers for use at a shape center.
However, you use them, I'm sure your learners will enjoy them!
