Draw Three Silly Story Starters are a fun and silly way to get students excited about writing.
You’ll never run out of ideas with the thousands of combinations this activity provides.
To organize these story starters I use a small expandable folder (like the kind used for receipts or coupons) or an index card holder.
Simply label the pockets 1, 2, and 3. The cards are numbered so you can easily see which go in each pocket.
Students then draw one card from each section to make their silly story starter.
Some fun examples:
"Write a grocery list for a giggling jellyfish"
"Write a story about a bouncy pirate"
"Describe the house of a sparkly elephant"
Over 100 cards that create thousands of silly story starters!
