Draw & Write Bundle - Task Cards - Directed Drawing
Share

Description

This bundle is complete

This Bundle of different Directed Drawing Task Cards and Strips will get your students inspired to write. Students simply follow each step to create their own unique illustration and finish it up by adding their own unique touches. They will love making it their own and be happy to share their creativity with you.

I have made three different formats to choose from.

#1-Task Cards- Print 4 to a page and store in a photo container or on a binder ring for easy access for your students. (You may also print 1 or 2 to a page to differentiate.)

#2-Strips- Print each page and cut the strips apart. Place on a binder ring for easy access for your students.

Then print out the writing pages you want your students to use when writing about their drawing.

#3 Journal Entries/Bookmarks- Print the strips as 2 pages per sheet so that they are small enough to fit in a journal. Students will paste the mini strip at the top of the page, draw the directed drawing, and then write about it.

I have added a word list to each task card to help your students when writing their stories.

My students LOVED watching me do some of these drawings. Some of them followed along, but one little guy REALLY has taken off with it. He chooses the whiteboard center every day now, and he draws every single picture. I cut them in strips and laminated them, then attached each letter group with a ring. He doesn't want me to put away the letters we're "done" with and I'm sure if he knew I had more he would be chomping at the bit. These have been so great!

I am glad that you and your students enjoyed drawing with these. I bet your little guy became a pro at drawing by the end of the year!
