Incorporate art with your social studies lesson on communities. Students are asked to draw an urban scene, a suburban scene, and a rural scene in the spaces provided, and to use words to label each picture (can be used for differentiation). This fun activity sheet reinforces the vocabulary that define the different types of communities while allowing students to be creative in their depictions. Great for social studies centers, art centers, extra credit, or homework.
This activity is also offered through my Learning About Communities bundle. Have a great school year!
