PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Drawing Conclusions is a skill students need as early as first grade in order to become proficient in for their ultimate success on standardized testing in upper grades.
This packet contains 3 activities to reinforce this skill with early readers. They are designed to be used with a small group; such as a Guided Reading lesson follow-up, remediation, or even Literacy Center activity. Each activity has been designed with a winter theme.
An anchor chart has been prepared to assist with initial teaching.

Activity 1 Mittens and snowball riddles
Activity 2 Short stories and pictures responses
Activity 3 Snowman riddles and hats
activity 1 and 2 can be done with nonreaders to reinforce the skill of inferencing. Someone will have to read the riddles or stories. Nonreaders can respond by identifying the appropriate picture.
