This activity is to be used when teaching a unit on the body or also works as a fun review. This activity provides students with six descriptions of monster in Spanish, so it requires them to read each description and then draw what they read, based on their imagination. An example would be: "She has a head shaped like a triangle, with three big purple eyes and a giant nose. She has two blonde eyebrows and many tiny little teeth, no arms & no hair (in Spanish, of course!) and then the student would have to draw a monster based on the description. Students LOVE this activity because it allows them to draw and be creative but they are demonstrating their reading comprehension skills in the target language at the same time! I love doing this activity with my kids and it is particularly interesting to see what each child draws because no monster will end up looking exactly like the next!
