Rulers rule here, and the math becomes second nature as students take an idea, define and refine on paper, and create a 3-d model. Students will enter the ever-exciting world of theme parks as they research and design one of their own, based on cultures and sites from all around the world.
10-12 week Project Based Learning Unit.
As the students go through the process of researching their themes and translating the essence of the cultures of their global picks into a compact experience, they develop a much deeper understanding of what makes us different and what makes us the same.
In the design process, students will give their math skills a good brush up as they design-to-scale a model to present to the “Tourism Board”.
You can make the project as small or large as you want.
The units are completely Teacher Friendly offering all primary resources with allowances for resources of your own. Instructional practices and the theories behind the practices are included as well.
Finally, the unit includes simple, yet effective rubrics for the teacher to easily assess the students learning. All GoTeachGo's Project Based Learning units are surprisingly adaptable to meet the needs of your individual classroom, and align with the Common Core Standards.

Note to HOMESCHOOLERS
GoTeachGo units are designed to work well with homeschools and homeschool co-ops. They take the natural “small group” and vitalize it with fun, engaging projects that capitalize on teamwork and collaborative works. Our units can easily be adapted to a single student or a small group of students of varying abilities.
