Description
Van Gogh - Pattern Drawing - Zentangle Inspired - PDF - Sub Lessons - Early Finishers
This activity sheet provides students with a table of different 'textures' or patterns, which they're challenged to integrate into a template of Van Gogh's Starry Night to create their own iteration of this famous image. Two versions are provided in the pack: one each for left- and right-hand dominant students (so students can see the pattern examples without hands getting in the way).
These pattern drawing challenges are excellent activities for introducing students to pattern-making, line work- and for building their familiarity with historically-significant artworks. They are also easy and engaging handouts for early-finishers or for those who respond well to activities that are accessible but require focus.
