Fun filler exercise that emphasizes how to turn 3D shapes into an image.
Step by step slides will take students through the process of creating cones, cylinders, etc. to draw a cartoon rocket.
Typically, I will read a book related to shapes or rockets and later have students to complete the activity. If students are developing vocabulary in their classroom for math related to shapes, this is also an activity that support their understanding.
It is about 15 minutes and a great filler activity for math, art and science.
