Drawing faces is intimidating for students! Many are unaware how simple it can be when they learn basic proportions.
This packet is ideal for students to practice facial features and proportions. The lesson begins with a pre-assessment where students will draw a face without any instruction. It then walks students through each facial feature and proportions, providing examples and giving opportunities for practice.
Finally, students will display their learning by completing a final drawing of a face.
I use this packet in my Art Foundations class as a bridge to a more conceptual project where students draw people that are displaying strong emotion, using text as shading (emotive text drawings).
NOTE: I copy this on front and back of paper so it's laid out accordingly.
Thanks for looking!
