This unit of 4 lesson activities explores colour theory and pencil crayon techniques targeted at Middle School classes, but can be easily modified for other grade levels. Each lesson focuses on crayon manipulation to solve various colour contrasts. The elements and principles of design are inherent in each activity, and students are encouraged to actively engage in manipulating them in each composition.
This BUNDLED unit also INCLUDES aspects from my other documents in terms of holding techniques, warm-up activities, application of crayons for colour mixing and textural effects. Art History also has an intrinsic application, particularly Canadian in context.
