This World Geography project is a student favorite! Students research where in the world they would go on a dream vacation. They research the sites, plan an itinerary, calculate prices using exchange rates, create a visual overview, and present their vacation to their peers. They have a lot of fun and their research doesn't feel like work. Life-skills are learned when trying to find the best price for airfare or which hotel to stay in. Students learn a lot about real-life travel, discovering how much it really costs to go on a vacation. They guesstimate how much it will cost first and then research the actual prices. Who will come closest to their original number?
