Your students will read an an article about Dred Scott's life, map Scott's travels across state lines, and summarize the case by writing a newspaper article as a journalist in 1857.

♥ I have used this 2 years in a row! This may be the best purchase I've made on TPT.

♥ Great resource. My students especially enjoyed writing the news article about the case.

♥ The mapping activity was a great addition to the lesson! It definitely added to student understanding of this very important Supreme Court case! Thanks!

♥ A nice combination of skills. I liked the graphic organizer to help students organize their newspaper article.
