These "Dress Me" file folder activities are great for students working on language goals. Use file folder activities for learning centers or a clothing theme with guidance from a speech pathologist or special education teacher.

Included are four different file folder activities to use with the different weather seasons of the year. Your students can dress different animals for winter, spring, summer, and fall.

Here are some ways you can use the Weather Clothing File Folder Activity to target language skills:

❤️Students can work on requesting, commenting, protesting, and asking wh- questions using the CORE boards included in this resource.

❤️Talk about each season and work on discussing the weather and the types of clothes people wear during that season.

❤️Discuss the function of each piece of clothing.
❤️Work on building more complex sentences using the sentence frames with the file folder.
❤️Describe the animal and the clothing by descriptive adjectives.
❤️Work on basic concepts "before," "after," "first," "last," and "on" while using the file folder activity.
❤️Have your students work on sequencing how they got the animal dressed using transitional phrases and complete sentences.
❤️Talk about the social rules for complimenting a person's outfit. Discuss what to say and do if you do not like a person's outfit.
❤️Print the black and white copies and send them home for additional language practice.
