PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A NEW "DRIBBLE" - I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT SO THIS IS A RE-POST!
“Dribble” is both a syllable sort and a card game to help students practice consonant-le syllables.
Headers are included for the syllable sort (closed, open, and consonant-le). Students then combine the syllables to make consonant-le words and write them on a worksheet. The consonant-le syllables can be used as many times as needed when writing the words.
The “Dribble” card game consists of 60 consonant-le word cards, “FOUL” word cards, and “FREE SHOT” word cards. Students take turns reading the words. You can have them identify the types of syllables in the word and use the word in a sentence. When they get a “FOUL” or “FREE SHOT” card, they follow the directions, taking another word card, or losing a card.
The student with the most cards at the end is the winner.
