PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This assessment can be used at the end of a Substance Abuse Unit.

Students will be asked to demonstrate knowledge related to teen drug use and factors that influence a teen's decision on whether or not to use drugs.

Students will select a scenario and apply the decision-making process. They will need to come up with 3 options for the scenario, weigh the advantages and disadvantages for each option, and make a health decision.

Students will reflect upon the dangers associated with drug use on all of the dimensions of health and describe reasons why it is important to be drug free.

Assessment criteria and a grading rubric is provided. This assessment asks students to show their understanding of concepts related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use; analyzing influences; and decision-making.
