Drug Free: Celebrate being drug free!! Does your school participate in Red Ribbon Week® that is sponsored by the National Family Partnership Corporation? If so, this drug free themed poster is a great way to get your students thinking about the importance of being drug free. Red Ribbon Week® is October 23-31, and this poster will work perfectly to supplement your other red ribbon themed activities.
This can also be used any other time of the year you are talking about the importance of making good decisions and being drug free.
Let your students express themselves for Red Ribbon Week® using this 8.5 x 11 poster. Parents always enjoy reading them when they are sent home.
They will look great hanging outside your classroom in the hallway or on a bulletin board inside the classroom during Red Ribbon Week®.
The drug free themed poster activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color.
It's a very basic poster, but it gives the students a great visual and writing/thinking activity about the importance of saying no to drugs.
The sections for the students to fill out are:
*Take the pledge.... The best me pledges to be drug free! Students sign their name.
*If someone offered me drugs, I would say......
* Reasons to be drug free... list 3.
*I love my selfie too much to do drugs!... illustrate a selfie on the phone.
*Instead of doing drugs, I will be super at..... (super hero themed picture) Tell about things they will be good at.
*Treats I want... Things I don't! List good things to eat/do verses bad drugs to take or bad habits.
Use as a center activity, morning work, or it is the perfect substitute activity for writing time. Use it in your classroom however you would like.
No claim is made to the name Red Ribbon Week. This is simply a supplemental activity that can be used when recognizing the drug free week.
