Mid Point Conflict Tracker - After students have read the first ten chapters of the novel, students will cite text evidence in order to explain and analyze two external and one internal conflict he faces at the beginning of the novel.
End Point Conflict Tracker - Students will complete this after they finish reading the novel. This activity mirrors the Mid Point Conflict Tracker. Students should focus on the same characters as they did for the Mid Point Conflict Tracker in order to analyze how these conflicts continue to develop then get resolved by the end of the novel.
Conflict Essay - This is an 8 page template for students to craft their essay using the conflict trackers. Students will focus on each individual paragraph by drafting a topic sentence, quotes with explanation, and a concluding sentence. This document also include a rubric aligned with CCSS.
