Product Description
As a supplement to the usual melting, freezing, boiling phase changes that are often observed in science lab, this activity gives students the opportunity to investigate the unique properties of dry ice and sublimation. The first page is a pre-lab reading which gives some background & safety information about dry ice.

You will need approximately 2 pounds of dry ice for a class of 30 students. Other materials needed to complete the investigations include: balloons, styrofoam cup, bubble solution or liquid soap, birthday or tea candles, thermometer, beaker, coins, forceps or tongs, gloves.

The lab is student led. Students will conduct the brief investigations then use a T-chart to record claims and evidence based on observations.
