SPANISH DOCUMENT. This survey is used for classrooms that participate in "Secret Santa" or "Secret Valentine" games around the holidays. It was named "Secret Snowman" to accommodate students with various religious beliefs. Each student fills out a survey with their favorites. The paper is folded and put in a box. The teacher has students pick a sheet from the box, noting down which student was chosen by each child. The last week before holiday break, students bring a $1 gift on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, they bring a $6 to $10 gift and reveal themselves. The easiest way to sneak the gifts was to have students bring them (already wrapped in themed paper or in a nice bag) in plastic grocery bags and set them on my desk when they arrived. I would mix up the bags before distributing them, so that no one could track which bag belonged to whom. It was highly effective. Even though I work at a low SES campus, students were still able to afford the $10 or less stipulation. All students ended up participating!
