**This is a Dual-Language Product, appropriate for Social Studies instruction in either Spanish OR English**. Included are 20, approximately 4x6 inch cards that each feature an official symbol of the State of Texas. The cards contain: the name of the symbol in English (blue) and Spanish (red), along with a picture. Also attached is a teacher-tool that identifies the symbol by name and the year it became known as a symbol of Texas, in chronological order. The teacher-tool is available in both English and Spanish.Cards can be laminated and placed in a Bilingual Research Center, displayed on an interactive bulletin board, or simply used as an instructional resource!
Additionally included are the materials for set-up as a BRC (Bilingual Research Center): a title for the BRC, TEKS in English and Spanish, Task Cards in English and Spanish, and three bilingual student-work pages that align with the BRC Task Card.
(In my classroom, I stapled the three sheets together as a packet and kept copies in a folder in the BRC area.) Enjoy!
