This companion has loads of activities that correspond to the simple book that is great for "where" questions, vocabulary, and more. Plus, it has an adorable Fall theme!

Contains:
Pages 3-4: Color and black-ink only story map. Use with dot markers to sequence the story, draw a pumpkin to correspond with there the characters looked for the pumpkin, answer wh- questions, and more. Laminate the color version for extended use and send the black-ink version home for carryover!
Pages 5-6: Comprehension questions - Wh- & Yes/No, each with visual answer choices.
Page 7: Vocabulary cards - use as story props, visuals for wh- questions, and/or sequencing.
Page 8: Location concept cards - depict locations represented in the story and visual cues for the concepts “in”, “on top”, and “under”.
Pages 9-10: Verb cards - depict typical fall activities. Use for answering what-doing questions or receptive tasks.
Pages 11-13: Sentence formulation strips - contain common fall verbs with vocabulary from the book. Use to target pronouns (he/she), is+-ing, grammar, and more.
Pages 14-15: Barrier game - one background scene (print one per child) and one page of manipulatives (to be cut out individually; apply magnets of hook and loop fastener).
Pages 16-17: Category sorting - things you see in Spring vs. Fall. Sort the pumpkins from page 15 into the correct crates on page 16. (Cut out cards on page 15. Do not cut page 16.)
Pages 18-19: Object functions - cut apart cards and use to describe or receptively identify functions of objects from the story/theme.
Pages 20-21: Home communication page - color and black-ink only versions. Two per page. Use to easily communicate with parents what was done in therapy and give something tangible to review at home.
