What child doesn’t love building with duplo? If you are unfamiliar with “duplo”, they are the larger lego blocks. This activity combines the love of duplo with simple addition and French colour vocabulary! (rouge, jaune, bleu, vert, orange, violet)
Instructions: Print out the duplo cards. Back them onto construction paper or cardstock. I used these cards with whiteboard markers, so I also laminated them.
How to play: Students solve the math problems by using the corresponding number and colour of duplo blocks. They then write the answer with a whiteboard marker in the blank space below. If you are unable to laminate the cards, small number manipulatives can be used instead.
Any feedback is appreciated! Enjoy!
