Directions: The use of foreshadowing gives hints for readers to make predictions about where the story is headed. Base your predictions on clues that the author provides. Use the charts to make at least two predictions while reading, revising as you come across new information. On the Making Predictions: during Reading Activity worksheet, students look for hints in the reading (textual evidence) to help them make predictions for what will happen later. Students are provided to space to revise their predictions once they come across new information. After each prediction, students are given space to explain their reasoning for their predictions. This worksheet can go along with any novel or short story you are reading!
