I originally designed Dynamic Discussion in 2004 as a tool to support my fourth and fifth grade students to utilize while using the newspaper as their daily shared text. Today it supports Common Core instruction.
Dynamic Discussions provide a collaborative forum using “accountable talk” or academic discourse using open ended-questions to dig deeper and to gain greater understanding after reading text. Increase student engagement, build confidence and empower students to take their learning to the next level. Supports English Language Learners.
Includes a Rubric, group norms, discussion roles and much more.
