This collection of ten daily physical activities provides a number of different opportunities for physical activity outside of the context of an actual sport through interesting and sometimes cultural games from other countries, while still developing new physical skills and challenges within the activity.
The activities offer a way to motivate students to be physically active for at least half an hour a day, while offering friendly competition (if desired), interesting challenges and a broader cultural awareness of the activities in which children of other countries participate. It is motivating and fun, resulting in an attitude of eager anticipation for physical activity, not one of compulsion.
The video shows clips of each activity as it is being performed, along with subtitles outlining the general rules. It is the visual companion to the Word file in my product list, Dynamite Daily Physical Activity, which has the complete rules plus all supplementary material needed.
A great resource for use in a Daily Physical Activity program, or as a supplement to a Physical Education program.
*It is also highly recommended that the teacher have ready round robin sheets so that teams play a variety of different opponents in shorter games, rather than attempting to draw the activity out for a longer period of time against a single opponent (the ones I made and use are available in the store, along with playoff draws).
Using this approach keeps the students' interest and activity level high, and facilitates an organized and efficient approach that keeps the activity focused, and the students disciplined and on task.
